Ezio Santin, the owner and chef of the main restaurant in Milan, was born and raised in Milan and is a true Milanese. He used to run a gastronomia (grocery store) selling food and wine in Milan, and based on the palate he honed by eating at many famous restaurants in the city and the homemade cuisine he served to his friends at home, in 1976 he bought an old inn (the restaurant name) at the foot of a bridge in the village of Cassinetta di Lugnano, renovated it, and opened the restaurant of his dreams. In 1976, he bought and renovated an old inn (the name of the restaurant) at the foot of a bridge in the village of Cassinetta di Lugnano and opened the restaurant of his dreams. He was already 39 years old at the time. It was an unusually late start for a chef, but it blossomed. At first, Santin's cuisine was based on classical Lombardy, but he was never satisfied with only that. He then went to France to study the presentation of French cuisine, and later created Antica Osteria del Ponte, which uses seasonal ingredients from all over Italy and is based on the traditions of regional cuisine, but with originality, delicacy, elegance, and grace. In 1990, the most prestigious French food magazine awarded Ezio Santin the second three stars in Italy out of many restaurants, and the name of Ezio Santin became known throughout the world. In 2002, as part of the renewal of the Marunouchi area of Tokyo, the new 36-story Marunouchi Building (commonly known as the Marunouchi Building) was opened, and Antica Osteria del Ponte opened in a corner of the top floor with the words "the first and last branch".
We look forward to serving you.
