Born in Riegie, Sicily, Italy in 1962. After graduating from the National Hotel and Restaurant School in Rome, he went to Switzerland and started working as a restaurant service attendant at the "Hotel Scherrer Suisse" in Interlaken. Later, as a wine specialist at the four-star Hotel Spinet in Grindelwald, he honed his first-class service and entertained distinguished guests.
After joining Cardinal Corporation, in 1987, he worked as a sommelier at "Italian Restaurant La Fresco" in Hibiya, Tokyo, which served authentic Venetian cuisine, and in 2002, he became the manager of the Tokyo branch of "Sabatini di Firenze," a prestigious ristorante in Italy with a history of about 100 years. In 2002, he was appointed manager of the Tokyo branch of Sabatini di Firenze, a prestigious ristorante with a 100-year history in Italy.
Currently, while serving as Director and General Manager of Antica Osteria del Ponte Tokyo, I oversee all sales departments of Cardinal Corporation and work with the staff in pursuit of the hospitality that only our restaurants can offer.

| Biography
From 1991 to 2000, he was in charge of restaurant and room service at "Dai-ichi Hotel Tokyo Bay" for nine years, laying the foundation for meeting the diverse needs of guests. From 2000 to 2002, he worked at Dai-ichi Hotel Ryogoku as assistant manager of banquets, restaurants, and Japanese-style dining, gaining experience in supporting a wide variety of food scenes.
In 2002, he joined "Antica Osteria del Ponte Tokyo" as chef de rang. In 2025, he was appointed as the Chief Sommelier, a position he continues to hold to this day. In 2025, he was appointed as the Sommelier in Charge, a position he has held ever since.

He was certified as a sommelier by the Japan Sommelier Association in 1998 and as a senior sommelier in 2003.

He has received numerous honors and is widely recognized for his abilities.

We have a large selection of wines imported directly from the main store in Milan, many of which are not yet available in Japan.
These special wines can also be enjoyed by the glass, most of which are imported in-house. We also generously use rare vintage wines in our wine pairings, allowing you to enjoy the marriage of these wines with the food.
I have been involved in food and beverage service since I was a student and have been exploring the world of hotels, restaurants, and wine for a long time. I believe that the role of a sommelier is one of the means to provide better service to our customers. In addition to his knowledge of wines, he also provides explanations of dishes, witty and humorous conversation, and other services that are tailored to each and every customer. In the words of Mr. Shinya Tasaki, President of the Sommelier Association of Japan, "Knowing 2,000 customers is more valuable than knowing 2,000 wines," and we always cherish our encounters with our customers.
Many of our customers use our restaurant for special occasions such as anniversaries and marriage proposals.

Since 2014, he has gained experience as a hall staff at Sabatini di Firenze Daimaru Tokyo, Sabatini di Firenze Tokyo, and Il Cardinale Ginza, and in 2019, he will become the assistant manager of Il Cardinale Ginza, where he will be involved in store operations.
In 2021, he joined Antica Osteria del Ponte Tokyo as a sommelier, deepening his knowledge and experience in wine. 2023, he became the restaurant's assistant manager, supporting the restaurant's operations while continuing his studies as a sommelier. 2025, in recognition of his many years of experience and achievements, he was appointed chef-sommelier at Antica Osteria del Ponte Tokyo.
